Managing Director

The company is led by Mrs Tancia Davis, the managing Director and founder of First Care Healthcare Ltd. She has been employed as a registered Staff Nurse for the past 8 years. Prior to becoming a registered Staff Nurse, she worked as a residential carer within a care home for 7 years.

We have dedicated employees whose compassion, empathy and friendly approach will complement the exceptional service that we provide, making a lasting impression on all of our service users.

 

It is our goal to employ competent, caring, and well-trained individuals who are responsive to the needs of our patients, their families, and the communities we serve. Each staff member will meet the regulatory board’s educational and training requirements for the services they provide.

 

Through our selective recruitment process, comprehensive induction training and ongoing mandatory courses we will ensure that all staff is knowledgeable in providing the latest caregiving techniques at all times.

Health and Safety

We will ensure that our service user’s health and safety are maintained when delivering care. In order to achieve this, we will generate an individual care plan for each service user. By doing this we will know how to care for that individual appropriately as well as preventing avoidable harm or risk of harm. First Care Healthcare Ltd will ensure every staff has the necessary training to carry out risk assessments for our service users and their premises.

 

A Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check will be in place for every staff before carrying out any caring intervention. First Care Healthcare Ltd will also work in line with the Health and Safety Act 1998 to prevent the spreading of infections and have an electronic medication administration record (EMAR) system in place to ensure that all medication is administered appropriately.

Customer Service

Our reliable rota system ensures that staff is aware of the location of our service users in advance and on time to prevent any delays. We will also ensure that a designated staff is always on–call and that our service users will have the facilities in place for 24-hours communication with our service.  Staff will also get the opportunity to review their performance to maximise the quality of care provided.

 

Our team will be prompt in meeting our service user’s needs and maintaining thier quality of life.  All of our staff is familiarised with the individual care plans of our service users to ensure that their social, medical, mental, emotional and physical needs are being met. This might include assisting service users with attending their medical or other important appointments within the health action plan, responding promptly to any complaints raised by service users. Complaints are taken seriously by the management team and an action plan will be developed to mitigate any future reoccurrence.

Covid-19 Update

We take every precaution to ensure the care we offer is fully compliant with government guidelines and regulations on covid-19 for in-home care services. Our care workers will be well trained and equipped to carry out all tasks using personal protective equipment to keep both themselves and our service users safe at all times.
